Implementation of New Academic Programs at KNRTU-KAI

The training of the students under this program will be carried out at KNRTU-KAI since 2021.

In 2019, KNRTU-KAI won the competition of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and together with Lomonosov Moscow State University developed the new academic program in the field of Materials Science and Materials Technology. The program was developed according to the requests of real economy partners and world scientific and technological trends. As a part of the project, Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC’s) are being developed in Russian and English languages, which will be launched on Russian Educational Platforms integrated with the Russian State Information System Modern Digital Educational Environment and world wide educational online platforms. The training of the students under this program will be carried out at KNRTU-KAI since 2021.

Among the benefits that KNRTU-KAI has gained from participating in this project is the experience adopted from the specialists from the Top-200 university (Lomonosov Moscow State University), which developed and helped to organize the work on the project in such a way, which brought the participation of real economy enterprises of the Republic of Tatarstan in the development of an academic program, provision of internships for students under the academic program 22.03.01 Materials Science and Materials Technology to a completely new level of cooperation. A signature feature of this program is that partnerships with employers are built up taking into account the specifics of their products.

Moreover the undeniable advantage is the experience gained in the process of replicating the developed advanced academic program (academic content) in Russian educational institutions of higher education, such as Novosibirsk State Technical University and Kazan National Research Technological University, including development the joint academic programs.

Joint work on the project of the academic staff from KNRTU-KAI and Lomonosov Moscow State University made it possible to build systematic work on a solid foundation, which led to joint participation in a number of other ambitious educational projects.

KNRTU-KAI is actively developing new areas of academic programs similar to those developed within the framework of this project. For example, the development of a project, aimed at including the Additive Technologies field of study to the current list of specialties for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs.
